Board of Directors

M.S. Pathak
Chairman

M.S. Pathak has served as SOMA Networks’ chairman of the board of directors since September 1997. He has more than 30 years of senior management experience in both India and the United States. M.S. was a member of the Planning Commission in Charge of Industry and reported to the Prime Minister of India. He founded and built Engineers India Limited, which is the largest engineering construction company in Asia. In addition, he has served as chairman of National Research Development Cooperation, Engineers India Limited, and Management and Technology Applications Limited, all located in India. M.S. has also served as chairman and president of Management and Technologies International, Inc. and as a senior executive of Foster Wheeler and Bechtel in the United States. He holds both a BS and an MS from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Shozo Ohtani, Zentek Technology
Board Member

Shozo Ohtani,who is president and chief executive officer of Zentek Technology in Japan, has served on SOMA Networks’ board since March 2004. Shozo first joined Matsushita Electric, a major manufacturer of industrial products, in 1981. After leaving Matsushita, Mr. Ohtani founded Zentek Strategy, Inc., a technology and business consulting enterprise. He later formed Zentek Technology, a publicly traded company.

Yatish Pathak, SOMA Networks
Board Member

Yatish Pathak, CEO of SOMA Networks, is also a founder of the company. He has served on the board of directors since September 1997. From 1988 to 1997, Yatish worked as an engineer at the Cellular Infrastructure Division of Lucent Technologies’ Bell Laboratories, where he was actively involved in the planning and implementation of the current generation of cellular systems. Prior to founding SOMA, Yatish worked as a senior design engineer at Linear Technology Corporation, an analog integrated circuits company. Yatish holds BS and MS degrees in electrical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Yatish Pathak is the son of M.S. Pathak, who is SOMA Networks’ chairman of the board.

Eiso Wortelboer, Endeavour Investments Limited
Board Member

Eiso Wortelboer has served as a member of our board since September 2005. Mr. Wortelboer graduated from the University of Geneva in 1988 with a degree in business administration. He then worked in 1989 for a Swiss-based private portfolio management company. In 1990, he worked for a Swiss company specialized in mergers and acquisitions. From 1990 to 1996, he was founder and CEO of a Swiss-based company active in importing and distributing computer equipment. He is, since 1997, a business consultant specialized in alternative investments comprising, but not limited to, hedge funds and private investment deals. He is also a director of Endeavour Investments Limited.
