Yatish Pathak
Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Yatish is responsible for the overall performance of the company, including oversight of all operating functions, corporate strategy, corporate financing, strategic business and technical initiatives.  Since founding the company, Yatish has raised over $175 million in financing and serves on SOMA’s Board of Directors. He brings over 18 years of experience to SOMA, including executive positions at Linear Technology Corporation and at the Cellular Infrastructure Division of the former Bell Laboratories. Since founding the company in 1998, Yatish has been the guiding force behind the company, having built it to its present capability. He holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

R. Douglas Kneebone
Senior Vice President and General Counsel

Doug is responsible for all legal matters at SOMA Networks. With over 21 years in private legal practice before joining SOMA, Doug has worked with and advised numerous technology companies, venture capital firms and financial institutions. As a senior partner with Gowling Lafleur Henderson LLP, one of Canada's largest law firms, Doug has provided advice and counsel in connection with mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, insolvency and corporate restructuring, both in Canada and the United States. Doug holds a Bachelor's degree from McMaster University and an LLB from the University of Toronto Law School.

Sunil Mehta
Chief Financial Officer

Sunil is responsible for leading SOMA Networks' finance, accounting, and investor relations operations. Sunil joins SOMA Networks with over 25 years of financial management experience at high technology companies, with extensive experience in financial planning, capital allocation and funding, budgeting, risk management, and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to joining SOMA, Sunil was Treasurer of Leadis Technology. He has also held CFO positions at Volante Technologies and Nextset Corporation, and was the Treasurer at VLSI Technology, now part of Philips Semiconductor. Sunil also held various senior level finance positions at Maxtor Corporation and Amdahl Corporation. Sunil holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in New Delhi, and an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley.

Thomas Flak
Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Vice President of
Company Operations

Tom Flak is responsible for SOMA's global product strategy, product management, marketing programs and oversight of day-to-day company operations. Prior to joining SOMA Networks, Tom was Vice President of Marketing for Verilink Corporation, where he managed all aspects of marketing and product management. Tom has held key sales and marketing positions with Network Equipment Technologies and Southwestern Bell Telephone Company (AT&T). Tom holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri, and a Master's degree in Information Networking from Carnegie-Mellon University.

Yossi Shabat
Senior Vice President, Sales

Yossi is responsible for sales and operations in Asia, EMEA and Africa. He has over 20 years experience in sales and operations with innovative technology companies, and has worked throughout the Asia Pacific region since 1991. Prior to joining SOMA Networks, Yossi was with Comverse Technology, Inc., where he was the Division Vice President for Asia Pacific, responsible for all Sales & Operations. He has also held senior level positions at Apple Computer, Orbotech and Applied Materials. Yossi holds Bachelor's degrees in History and Economics and an MBA from Tel Aviv University.

Scott Woodworth
Senior Vice President, Manufacturing and Operations

Scott is responsible for global manufacturing operations at SOMA Networks, including all manufacturing relationships and quality control. Scott brings to SOMA over 20 years of experience in high-tech development and manufacturing. Prior to joining SOMA Networks, Scott was Vice President of Manufacturing and Operations at Pacific Broadband Communications, responsible for the manufacturing, test, materials, operations, and quality organizations. Scott has also held executive manufacturing and operations positions at EmpowerTel Networks, Solectron Corporation, and United Technologies. Scott holds a Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering and Materials Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Law Degree from University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.

Mark Cheley
Senior Vice President, Professional Services

Mark has global responsibility for SOMA’s Professional Services, Deployment Operations and Managed Services offerings. He brings to SOMA over 25 years operations experience with Telecom Service Providers and Equipment Suppliers; half of that time working in the Asia Pacific region. Mark previously held CXO positions at three Wireless start-up ventures in Asia and the Caribbean. Prior to that Mark was the Program Management and Professional Services Director for Asia Pacific at Lucent Technologies. During that period Mark had the opportunity to plan and build-out major telecom infrastructure projects in most Asia Pacific countries. Mark started his career in Asia with Hutchison Telecom in Hong Kong where he managed the Special Projects division. Prior to that Mark held a variety of Management positions at Bell Canada Enterprises. Mark holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto.
