NPM 2000 Base Station

The NPM 2000 base station is a key component of the SOMA Broadband Wireless System, a fully converged, all-IP wireless technology that economically extends the reach of service providers in both underserved rural markets and highly competitive urban ones.

The NPM 2000 provides maximum cell coverage and range while reducing power consumption and heat generation. Each NPM 2000 provides a non-line of sight cell radius of up to 16 km (10 miles)—up to four times greater than other base stations. As a result, a single NPM 2000 base station can support hundreds of users, even over the most distant or challenging terrain.

In addition, the NPM 2000 base station scales from one to six sectors per cell site, providing large radius cells that ensure non-line of sight coverage. This makes it and the SOMA Broadband Wireless System an ideal way for service providers to deliver fixed broadband services to the home or small business.

By leveraging the scalability of the NPM 2000, service providers can:

  • Accelerate their time to market
  • Lower deployment and operating costs
  • Support the highest subscriber density in the industry with fewer cell sites
  • Expand their networks cost-effectively
  • Offer revenue-generating services immediately
  • Deliver wireline performance over a broadband wireless network.
